Becoming a Leadership donor is about more than making a gift. You’re helping create opportunities for people across the GTA and demonstrating what’s possible when communities come together to support one another.
Your Leadership gift of $1,200 or more helps fund 700+ community programs and services that reach 1.8 million people each year, supporting individuals and families facing some of the region’s most pressing challenges. From addressing urgent needs today to investing in long-term solutions for a stronger tomorrow, your generosity contributes to a more equitable GTA where everyone can thrive.
- $1,200 can provide counselling to a woman who has survived domestic abuse, and to her children, for the length of their stay at a shelter
- $3,000 can provide breakfast for 5 days to 65 individuals who are unhoused or low income
- $5,000 can feed 50 seniors culturally appropriate hot meals once a week for 12 weeks
- $7,500 can fund four 10-week parenting programs for up to 45 participants
Your Leadership support goes beyond meeting urgent needs. It fuels the research, partnerships, community engagement and innovative solutions that strengthen communities and help create lasting change across the GTA.

As a Leadership donor, you’ll receive special updates and opportunities to learn more about the impact of your support and engage directly with the community to see firsthand what you’ve made possible. Your United Way staff partner will be there to support your philanthropic journey, and you’ll be recognized in our annual Leadership Honour Roll.
