Women United is a group of diverse and dedicated changemakers that share a single vision:  to transform the lives of women across the region. We know that when women thrive, we all do — and together, we’ll get to work, committed to advancing equity and opportunity for women across the GTA.
Over 300,000 women in Peel, Toronto and York Region live on low incomes — many forced to choose between food, rent and safety. While the rising cost of living, unaffordable housing and precarious work impact many communities across the GTA, women — especially Indigenous, Black and racialized women — are disproportionately affected.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. Determined and unwavering, we are digging in: pushing for policy change, conducting ground-breaking research and investing in programs that help women build stable, empowered lives. And with you by our side, Women United can — and will — build a better, brighter future for all women in the GTA. Any way we can.

Lara Nathans, Women United memberOne of the great things about giving to United Way is that they direct donations to where they are needed most. Women United is an opportunity to give in a targeted way to women and children, which is really close to my heart. I love the ability to engage deeply in a community by supporting other women and their families.
