Funding Opportunity

Community Programs in North West Toronto

The Community Funding Unit, City of Toronto (CFU) and the Community Service Sector Strategy Team at United Way Greater Toronto (UWGT) are offering a collaborative funding initiative to reinvest in the North West Toronto communities affected by the closure of Doorsteps Neighbourhood Services.

This is a targeted funding opportunity. To be considered, applicants must present programs that will serve people living in one or more of the following geographical communities:

  • Daystrom: located in the Humbermede neighbourhood
  • Chalkfarm: located in the Downsview-Roding neighbourhood
  • Falstaff: located in the Rustic neighbourhood

In addition, only programs in the following service need areas will be considered:

  • Employment Supports for Adults
  • Mental Health & Counselling Support
  • Middle Years Development Programming
  • Social & Recreational Programming for Seniors
  • Youth Development Programming

Step 3 – Complete the Program Financial Forms (Excel document)

Step 4 – Email the completed application and financial forms to:
uwgtfunding@uwgt.org by Thursday, November 1, 2018, at 5:00 p.m.

Agencies not currently funded by CFU or UWGT may need to provide additional organizational information and/or documents in addition to submitting the program application. If you are not currently funded by CFU or UWGT, you must contact the following person before submitting an application:
